Today in Year 4 DT we took to our books to produce brilliant character descriptions in preparation for our stories this week. The focus and care the children showed in their writing was outstanding. Adjectives, conjunctions, and sentence openers was the objective and all the children gave their best efforts! It’s fair to say Mr Tompkinson needs a new green highlighter for tomorrow’s marking!
The sentences and the use of subordinate conjunctions were fantastic. We mapped out wonderful ideas for adjectives and sentence starters and this really helped to add detail to the children’s writing. It was lovely to see that the children’s spellings are already improving their writing!
The selfie stars of the day were Terrell and Lewis who showed fantastic Link making discovering that you can start a descriptive sentence with a subordinate conjunction!! Shame about Mr Tompkinson’s old man Cardie
